how much time does a DMP takes to examin u and how long is the process is ?

hi to all
can any one tell how long does a DMP take to examin ,, as i booked my medical and they said come in the morning around 9 AM and u must take ur food as its going to take whole day .. i asked them is it going this way they said yes
now does any one know about it
they will take my clothes off and will examin each and every part of my body (its embarressing ) .
those who have gone thru medicals can they tell what they will do in medical test

Here in Dubai it took us* 40 minutes, from start till I left the Clininc's main door [after paying]. No embarrasing moments... just checked till the abdomen.

I went to Dr. Malkit Law in New Delhi and the entire process took 30-40 mins for the 3 of us. Her assistant took all our papers and after 5 mins called us in the docs room one by one where she checked our weight, height and blood pressure and recorded that in the form while the doc was also presetn in the same room. The doc then physically examined us and asked us questions related to drinking, smoking any family history etc etc and I could c her putting a cross in the form for every question she asked (I guess a checklist). Then we were directed for urine, blood test and x-ray which were on the same floor. In between all this I was asked to make the payment at the reception which again was on the same floor.

Irrespective of the DMP you choose my guess is the process should be the same. Can go for test first, then the doc and then x-ray or any other combination.

You can always mentioned that you are a social drinker/smoker rest leave it on the x-ray I would say avoid drinking 2-3 days prior to going for the urine test to be clean and reduce smoking untill you finish medicals.

Personally I know a couple of people who are regular drinker and chain smoker, they did not run into any trouble so you should also be fine.

Hi guys,

I am not familiar with the medical process so sorry if my question is too basic:

Can someone guide what is the medical process like? Will the visa office send us any forms (e.g. medical forms)?
What happens after taking the medicals? Will the results be directly sent to the visa office or should we personally submit them?

One more question, will all these be clearly updates in ECAS too, at the same time? (like an update mentioning sending medical forms to the applicant, etc.?)

i will do the same as u say i have gone thru my x-rays from other clinic it only shows smoke in my lungs but not in full chest i cunsulted a doctor he said this smoke is normal in smokers ... more over i dont have any desiese like T.B or any other so i think it will be fine

they will send medical forms and other request together on ur postal address and u have to take those forms to the DMP

2ndly status will change to (in process)
now u will rescive ur med request and other request and when u will send ur passports and other requested documents then in few days it will change to descion made then u will get ur passports in few days with visa stamped

Hahaha, u r right , it seems embarrassing, but u have to remove ur all clothes, all means all. At least here in Punjab ,India they do like it. My advice, just consider that moment like ur 'hostel life' period, this seems blunt but it will help and u will enjoy.lols

we have done it at Trivandrum. Not asked to remove the clothes !!! it took only 30-35 minutes for examination by DMP. but later spent more time at Labs for ?Urine & Blood Checkup and X-ray. don't worry about it... If the DMP is very busy and have so many clients, you may have to wait. relax

I did my medical in Armenia, it took me about an hour for a general check (heart, blood pressure, eye check, weight, etc., ps: no need to take off the clothes), X-ray, and medical interview, and the next day I went to give my blood (because first day I went there late), it took me 5 min, and the next day urine test (another 5 min), that's all, and the next day doctor collected all results and sent to Health Commission (in my case it is in London). It could took even shorter, in sum it didn't take even a day.
