any thing below 10k is ok

during international flight !

So even $1000- Canadian will serve the purpose?

Aren't they concerned to check the 1 year accommodation amount plus the Tuition fees?

You will of course need to show your proof of funds originally submitted with your visa application i.e. bank statements, paid course fee receipts etc. But you're also advised to carry enough cash or travelers cheques just to cover for incidental expenses immediately after leaving the airport.

Cheers ;-)

@ Punjab-rocks...

My bank suggested me not to carry too much cash as it might turn out to be risking...so i carrying a DD for 2000CAD + 500 CAD currency and my loan sanction letter...

once you reach there your college will help you in opening a bank account. so you could deposit the DD there...

You can carry upto 10k CAD$
Not anything above that

You can carry as much money as you want. All you have to do is declare it if you have over $10K there are no taxes or fees, but it has to be reported. You will be issued the form on the flight.

thanks everybody for ur help !!!

I had 1500$. Carrying too much is risky. You have to declare. So carry only necessary and get rest from home !
