Nobody is going to start putting down their net worth. Salaried needed to live comfortably and save depends on where you live. Most need both spouses to work to gain a good enough income. Where do you want to live? What is your expectations when you come to Canada? What is your current lifestyle and family income?

Just Google cost of living in Canada and you will find plenty of examples/data

You can have a high net worth, but be cash poor . Example you own a house in Toronto, it's worth alot , but you have nothing else

This kind of discussion happens on blind. People there love to brag about their savings and networth.

What a questions... Really depends on your life style, your expectation and view of life. I meet people with smaller incomes but still living happily. You just make do with whatever you have while enjoying life as much as you can, right? On the safe side, always saving and investing. :)

Think people expect that they will be able to save lots of money in Canada. There are many struggling and living pay to paycheck. Salaries are higher but so are costs.

hmmm i partially agree with that

more of an appropriate question for usa silicon valley folks where tech salaries are close to 200K, not express entry economic migrants.

If you live in a country where some people live on a dollar a day and you see that minimum wage is $14-15 dollars you may think that is great. You may not think things like food may be so much more expensive. Many also see free schooling and healthcare which is often a large portion of their budget and think they will have a lot of disposable issue. Both are not “free” or without cost. Same as CCB. People living abroad may think great free money for having a child and not consider why the CCB was needed because the cost of raising a child is so high.

I suspect that you meant "net INCOME" and not, in fact, "net WORTH".
