I waver back and forth between being sooo strong and assured..... to feeling weak and defeated. LOL and I am not even married yet. Just being in a LD relationship is challenging in itself let alone now marrying and entering the wonderful world of immigration! Not to mention the ex that constantly berates our daughter with comments like :she is crazy" "she will never come back from there once she is married" "she is so desperate she can't even find someone in her own country" and I have to then deal with a child that already has concerns about me being in a relationship period without him putting more idea in her head.
I am a person of faith and I believe with everything in me that God would not bring me someone that would ever harm her...because God knows what I would do to a man that hurts my princess!!! 8) It was not my decision to meet someone who happens to live on another continent but I know that no matter how discouraged I get I have people that will encourage me to keep on because they know this man is very special. Even his sister who I met while visiting there wrote me and encouraged me to keep on.

The best prizes come to those who persevere!!

Thank you for the laughs my brothers and sisters (peeps) lol...it helps to keep us (me) sane in this crazy choice we (I) made.

Unfortunately I have an obligation to let him see her and I have no way of controlling what he says while she is with him. His parents contribute to this as well and it is just a nightmare. My daughter has come home announcing that she hates black people, that muslims are all crazy suicidal bombers.... and so much more. This is what I have to deal with on a regular basis and I have no idea what to do because how can you stop someone from saying something? I am not saying I ignore it... I deal with it as best I can and I believe she does not think this way other than being a young confused child who is repeating what she hears.
I stayed out of relationships for 8 years for fear of him stopping his visitation with her and his threats to try for full custody if I even dated someone (btw, he has a 22 yr old daughter that he has no contact or relationship with either)

So he will not let her travel with me and he told her that once my husband is here if she wants to live with him she can.

Believe me...I would never change having my daughter...but how I would give anything to change the father!!
