How many months after rejection am I eligible to reapply for a Canada visa?

Greetings Everyone,

I am from Nigeria, I'm in a crossroad on what to do because I am absolutely confused. I first applied when I was in the University in 2012 for a Canada study permit visa to Centennial College but I was rejected a visa reasons been that "insufficient finance/funds."

I applied again in 2017 to Conestoga College immediately I graduated from the University in 2016 for the January 2018 intake but I was rejected again reasons been that "I would not return if I go, travel history, purpose of visit, current employment situation, and personal assets and financial status."

I wasn't sponsored by my father rather his friend sponsored me due to financial reasons, and I submitted these documents - "statement of account of my sponsor stating USD$29k, My University degree(B.A) & Transcript, Birth certificate, Letter of sponsor & affidavit, Evidence of sworn affidavit to prove relationship, forms filled regarding my information, forms filled regarding my family information, visa & biometric fee payment, other personal certificate, Letter of purpose/study plan, police clearance certificate." There was this agent who assisted me and he said my documents was okay before submission, then I was rejected.

In the form filled about my personal information, I stated I was working and inputted my place of work which is at the person sponsoring me and how much I earned but still I was rejected.

I am preparing to reapply again for the third, and this time I am doing it without the assistance of any agent to avoid what happened before, my questions are;

1. How many months after rejection am I eligible to reapply for a Canada visa?

2a. I googled and discovered I needed to request for a gcms notes before doing anything at all, how true?( I discovered this forum in the process, thank you).

2b. Since am not Canadian, and I don't have anybody presently in Canada, how can I request for the gcms notes?

3. Is there any harm to apply to a Canadian College when I graduated from a University?

4. Do I need a fresh/new Letters of sponsor/relationship showing 2018 as the dates on the previous Letters are now reflecting 2017?

5. In my SOP, can I add job/employment Letters of possible job offers from private organization/institution and my fathers business (I run it on behalf of the family) upon my completion of my Master's degree and upon my return back to my country Nigeria in other to convince the VO?

6. can I include certificate awards given to me as part of my processing documents?

7. can I also add my personal asset (inherited house and land documents) and SOA to the processing documents outside that of the sponsor's documents?

8. Is there a possibility that I would be denied again for the third time since I have been denied twice?

9a. I am trying to extend the offer date of my admission letter in Conestoga College to September 2018 resumption but no replies to my mails after numerous sent mails and I tried contacting the International Student Office on phone but it's going to answering machine/voicemail. How else can I get in touch with them?

9b. I am thinking of seeking for a refund so I can apply to a University, is it right? please I need advice

9c. I studied International Studies & Diplomacy in my previous University, please which University would be cheaper to apply for in Canada?

9d. What possible courses would suit my Master's program that will be able to give reasonable convincing to the VO?

10a. If I am able to deposit the requested CAD$11k into my personal account for students studying outside Quebec, can I withdraw the money after I have submitted my processing documents (personal SOA) because I will be borrowing the money?

10b. Will they check with my bank to confirm if the money is there or my account balance?

10c. Will it affect the processing if I withdraw the money from my account?

11. Do I need a payslip and a Letter from my employer to prove my employment situation?

12. How much is required to be in my personal account in US dollars if am working?

13. If I decide to change my previous sponsor's details to my fathers, will it affect the credibility of my documents if am applying again this year?

14. If I decide to change the previous School ( Conestoga College) to another school, will it affect the credibility of my documents given the short period of my visa refusal?

long list only read the first 3 questions. You can still apply for the study permit again but you need a lot of preparation. Not necessarily lot of paperwork. You should have got your gcms notes right after your first rejection. I have been in your place so I know why you didnt. I only ordered my notes after the 2nd rejection because I didnt want to miss the intake. My money was stuck in the college, etc. After I got my notes, I realized what my agent had done and also where I had gone wrong. Coming to canada is important, not necessary that you have to come in the next intake. If you dont know anybody in Canada then contact caipsgcms.com and they will get it for you.

Agents are terrible

I did not need a refund. I got my study permit in the 3rd attempt. I just clarified the reason from the gcms notes in a letter of explanation. Use this format, https://caipsgcms.com/download. You can change your sponsor any time. Honestly you should show your father as your sponsor. Visa officers often want some guarantee that the flow of funds will continue till the end of the course. I have seen this reason in lot of gcms notes in this forum. Other option is to pay all the fees so the visa officer is convinced that you will never have any funding issues.

Answer to 11: yeah you need to show a slip since you already stated you are working
Answer to 14: I advice you don't change school any longer, just defer your admission to Sept 2018 and apply again
No 3: no harm in applying to Canadian college, you just need to be very careful on the course to choose
And yeah you can apply again the 3rd time. Review your mistakes properly and rectify them

3: there is no harm applying to a college but you need to be careful of the course you are choosing
6: I don't see a need to incluDE certificate's of award giving if it's not gonna help
7: any ties you have that can help to prove your coming back after your education, must be attached
8: if you review carefully and rectify all mistakes, sure you will be given
11: yes pay slip is required since you stated you are working
14: I don't think it is wise to change school again, don't ask for refund, just defer your admission to Sept 2018 and go try again

I am also a nigerian. One thing i will say is dis.. When applying for visa to canada, use ur father as ur sponsor.. If he is to borrow and load his account, let him borrow.. Dey dont check your account or prof of fund after u have submitd.. In ur sponsor letter, het him put all the details of all his assets and their worth as well as supporting documents of houses land and all.. And when writing your letter of explianation, try and be honest about it, do not leave any thing out.. Me i got my visa within 1month and 10days after my application.. Its all God.. I also used an agent PFL and dey were perfct for me.. Dia fees is high but God used dem to do the job well.. My sis is in canada presently and dey also did for my sis.. So one tin is to use the right agent, another is to choose a course that is similar to ur bsc course, be honest in writing out any information and for job, i worked for my father.. I did not present any pay slips, i just constructed a latter stating am byn paid a little amount for my feeding and transport in cash so that closed anything relating to pay sleep as such i submited my id card which clearly states dat i work in my dads firm.. So just relax and get all the neccessary docs u need compose ur self and write a letter of explination and your statement of purpose.. And the money part is very well important.. Using ur uncle or dads friend will not hold much ground on it but using your father will work.. All the property he has, monetize it and add the worth to the sponsorship letter as well as supporting docs.

And try to make dem understand that you only want to acquire this masters so as to mak u add ur own quater in d developement of your country.. Let everything be about your country even look for a big company name here in nigeria and tell them that after your programm you will love to use the experience and the knowledge gained to work in a big company like ______ in your home country Nigeria

Thank you @Dunsii for your advice, I find it notable. I have already sent the school an email seeking refund because in the first place I wanted to do a Masters program University and not a diploma degree in a College.

The person who help out in finding the school just decided to opt for a College. I have decide to wait till May 2019 intake but would seek for an admission in August/September 2018 to a University this time.

I don't know if I have made a big mistake but did it so as not to run things and gather much information before doing anything

First of all,I don't understand why you will want to use an agent.Do everything by yourself so you get real understanding of proceedings.
Just relax and don't seem desperate.I'm not an immigration officer,but,I can confidently say you are unlikely to return to Nigeria after your studies.Not that it matters anyway.I'm also an African so I can relate.
If you are really interested in studying & not just going to Canada,there are cheaper,if not free,quality options available.
I also got admission to Centennial College like you but didn't even apply for the visa because I lost interest along the way.
Like I said before,just relax and pray.It's like you're over thinking it.Canada is just a country.It cannot define your life.Just trust in God and prepare your documents properly for the third time.
And maybe you should research and apply to other countries like Germany if you really need to study.
