I must be sending too many then I have separated and organized everything, but on every envelope I have its contains written down.

I have 12 envelopes

Sponsor Documents
Applicant Documents
Marriage Documents (marriage certificates, registrations etc.)
Proof of Employment (my record of employment, Option-c, pay stubs)
Identity Documents (our birth certificates, passport scans, work permits etc. )
Proof of visits ( receipts, boarding passes etc.)
Medical Documents (I have them so they are being sent )
Pictures ( then broken down with smaller ones by year and by our marriage)
Log files (Skype, YM, and Facebook)
Declaration Documents (parents, my oldest daughter, and myself)
Education (scans of wife's diplomas and transcripts)
Police Clearances (Thailand and Philippines)

It might be overkill but its really easy to find exactly what a VO could be looking for.

Just a question, we sent our application through our immigration consultant so I don't know the "right answer" but why would you have to send more than 2 very large envelopes. One with each application and the proof that is needed. Most of the proof I would think would go with sponsorship application as that is the first one to be looked at and they seem use it to decide if it is a "genuine marriage.

My package.

Reason for multiple envelopes is because the envelopes cannot physically accommodate so much evidence.

The thickest envelope was my communication proofs, all my chat lots and Skype webcam screenshots. My GCMS notes said they shredded them, presumably because there was a lot and they deemed the chats satisfactory. The bottom most envelope is very thick too, those are my photos, all 400 of them.

I would have said one envelope but some people have many many pages of proof and that would not fit in one envelope. We went in just a few pages from each month of sykpe calls and messages. We had about 30 pages of photos we sent plus all the normal things asked for. a

If my wife was American or Australian I would only send in like 10% of the stuff I sent already. And there's no way we're going to do a half ass application and then get a 24 month interview wait time. For Singapore VO, you have to do everything in your power to avoid the interview, and one of the ways of doing that is to provide them a comprehensive package.

We sent everything in one large briefcase style folder (Hello Kitty and in pink no less) which had everything nice and organized.

Mikeymyke I can understand giving tons of proof when you are concerned due to the country of the sponsored partner. It is hard to imagine having as much proof as you do, good for you! When we were dating we did not take lots of photos, in fact one of the years we dated we could not find a single photo of us together. That year although we talked through skype daily we only saw each other twice due to both our financial situations at the time. our countries may be right next to each other and we actually only lived 150 miles (225 KM) apart but with ferries needed (It took 2 ferries to see each other for part of our dating time) it got costly when I lost my job and he wasn't working much. I know we had lots of proof from emails and skype conversations but did worry about not having photos from the one year.

My husband is Canadian born and always lived here I am US born and always lived there. So I am hoping there won't be an issue but I do know they would like to see proof from all the time together nearly 3 years before our wedding and now married 1 year and 8 months. I have been here in Canada as a visitor now for 9 months and I find we have not taken any photos of us in that time. We have a few photos of our sons when mine came to visit but none that we are also in. I do worry a bit, my adult daughter, she is 29 now, does not like the fact that I married a Canadian and has only been around my husband a few times in nearly 4.5 years. If CIC asks her they will get negative thoughts even though she really does not know him, her choice as he would have loved to know her as well as he knows my 3 sons. My sons all really like him and his sons are fine with me. His sons are pretty much not part of anyone's life they only call if they need something but they lived with him when I met him and I have been around then enough to know they are fine with our marriage just as my sons are. My husband worries though that if we have an interview for any reason he would not be able to talk much about my siblings and parents. My family did not live more than an hour from me in the states, except one of my sons who lived 2000 miles away and came for visits, but my husband has only seen my extended family a few times. My brothers, sister and parents only get together a few times a year and my husband was not always able to be there are those times. I have 4 brothers and a sister and he gets confused as to who is who and who has which kids. We are working on that now with photos of family to help him remember who is who but even I hardly saw my family in the last 15 years we got together at the most 3 times a year often only 2 times. Christmas and in the summer for a picnic. So even being an american sometimes we worry about the process.

Well I don't know if our lawyer organized everything in folders, but we had so many pages due to the communication proofs (phone bills, Facebook, e-mails, text messages) that the package sent to Mississauga weighed around 11 pounds. I don't think it matters how many envelopes you use.
