btw im a live in caregiver, im here in canada for 21 months and im planning to have my first vacation this coming april on my home country philippines. on my contract i have 2 weeks vacation per year and other leave 42, how long can i stay in the philippines on my vacation? can i stay in the philippines for 45 days? thank u very much in advance

If your employer allows you to take 45 days off, then you are ok but this will delay the time you can apply for your PR for about 2 and a half weeks, based on that you would have 2 weeks per year vacation, so 4 weeks total for 2 years and you are taking 6.5 weeks.

Hi there, It's a same problem with me. I already had first vacation last year and this year gonna be my second vacation I do have plan to go visit my family for 2 weeks. Is it okay if this 2 weeks include 10 business days and 5-6 weekend days; total 15-16 day. Those 16 days vacation is gonna be any affect for my 24 months? Thanks a lot.

If you are just taking 2 working weeks plus weekends, that is still only 2 working weeks so it should not be a problem.

my employer will allow me to take 45 days vacation, i will get a letter to my employer allowing me to have a 45 days vacation in the philippines so that when i go back here in canada i will present the letter to the immigration officer that my employer allowed me to that 45 days vacation?

im just waiting for it, i already send my application, passport, copy of work permit and letter of my employer requesting visa to buffalo last march 1. its almost 20 days now, i hope this coming week they will sent it back with visa on my passport.
