how many days it generally take to get the file number

Hi,

I posted my cananda PR application form on May 17 via Buffalo, NY.

Still i did not got my file number.
Can anybody know how many days it generally take to get the file number.

They say usually 30 days...... in your case I do not know

There is no standard time limit. Its different in different locations.

I applied on June 16 and still waiting, and nothing will happen until the elections on October 14th, This is a waiting game have fun! There is more info about the new rules here:

Me too in same situation. I have applied at Buffalo on Jul 10 2008. But my draft has not got even cashed yet...

Has any of drafts been cashed ? Is it taking 3, 4 or may be 5 months to get draft cashed ?

I got my file no yesterday...applied on 3rd june

If you applied on June 3rd and got your number yesterday maybe is not that much to get mine, I applied on June 16th, is getting closer.

i think so...they are very slow because of the new rules they are expecting..cchabert under which NOC category u applied

0611 Sales, Marketing and Advertising Managers

0621 Retail Trade Managers

1111 Financial Auditors / Accountants

Your file number id from Buffalo office? and did they cashed your cashier check?

A friend from Englad says
He despatched his applicaion on 25th April 08
His application was received in CIC off ice on 26th April 08.
He received his acknowledgement of receipt 20th June o8
But it is different at different locations.
