How long it take to receive passport request letter from CIC for spousal PR sponsorship

Hi everyone,
I'm from India. I have submitted my application for spousal PR sponsorship for canada. Currently my file is in delhi office from past 4 months.

I have following queries.

1. How long it take to receive passport request letter from CIC or Delhi Canada embassy after medical.

2. Which way they send the passport request letter by mail or by online on email
because I'm living in village far from city just worried about the mailing thing.

3. What happened if medical expired as this is the 5 month running. Thus they take longer time to complete my application after that.

Most straight forward Outland Spousal Sponsorship follow these process steps (the order of the steps may vary)

1. Application received at IRCC
   
2. IRCC start processing application
3. Receive Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR 1)
4. Link Application to Online Account
5. Upload Schedule A form
6. Sponsor Approval and File transfer to VO
7. VO starts processing PR application (AOR 2)
8. Receive Request for Medical Exam
9. Medical Exam @ IRCC Panel Physician Clinic
10. Medical Exam Result
11. Passport Request (PPR)
12. Pick-up Permanent Residency Visa (PUM)

Spousal sponsorship process completion time varies depending on the Visa Office and on a case basis.......will advice you assume process completion takes 12 months to help reduce the waiting stress.......relax.....its a wait game.

if you have linked your application to your online account.....IRCC will send the passport request through your online account.

If you haven’t provided IRCC with an email address, all correspondence will go to your contact address.

Medical exam result are usually for 1 year......if your application is not approved before the 1 year expires....IRCC may still approve and issue the PR visa or ask you to re-do medical, decision depends on the visa officer review your sponsorship, don't worry about it.
