The link below tells you the processing times in each region. Takes longer in developing nations than developed nations. The reason is simple but trust you to work that out.....

PMM,

If it takes 10-15 years to emigrate to Canada for we that started last year, is it worth it afterall? I can as well stay put in my fatherland and make something meaningful with my life at 30 years. 30 years now + 10 years= 40 yrs, I could have made something in life with the speed of progress. I can use that 10 years of my life to make my fatherland progress than making another country progress.

It is not worth it!

You should use the information from PMM to help yourself rather than throw your hands up in frustration! You can check the PNPs to see if you will qualify for one of them; they currently take less than 18months to complete.
I thought you really wanted to immigrate to Canada? Let nothing stop you!

All the best.

Tito,

Whichever way you look at it you are entitled to your own opinion, frustration is out of the question. I see no sense in waiting for 10 years to emigrate, to me it is crazy and that is it.

I applied 2007 but can I switch over to PNP even whenI have applied under the skilled workers category?

My opininon is that I see no sense waiting for 10years either but the Bible says my people perish for lack of knowledge (I didn't mean to be hard).
Your application is not up to a year old yet; nothing should stop you from withdrawing it and file via PNP after checking to confirm you are qualify for that route.

All the best!
