How long does it take to get CELPIP and IELTS results respectively?

Usually how long after test does it take to get CELPIP and IELTS results respectively?

I would like to take CELPIP, but am concerned that it may take longer time to get the results than IELTS does.

CELPIP - you can view your results online in 8 business days. Though physical copies of the results will take time to reach you. I am not aware of IELTS.

CELPIP takes 7-8 days to view the score online, and additional 2-3 days to get the score. And this also depends on how far away you are from Vancouver, BC.

IELTS takes 2-3 weeks, definitely takes more time then CELPIP.

I took CELPIP on 14th Jul and got online results in 8 days . I am still awaiting the results to reach me by post though! I live in Toronto. Does that location make a difference for the timelines for physical copy?

It should not take that long for a mail from Vancouver to Toronto.

I live in Mississauga, and got my result online in 7 business days and in next 3 days I got physical copy of my score in my mail box. I think you should have got your score by now. You should call them.

I understand that we are not supposed to open the envelope and send this as is along with the application. Is that correct? Thanks

I opened my IETLS results envelope and sent it to Sydney and they seem to have accepted it as i have received my AOR. :

Per CELPIP Website

"As of June 26, 2010, you need to submit your original language test scores with your application form to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).

We now provide a sealed envelope containing your original test scores. This sealed envelope will be sent to you at the same time as your Personal Score Report.

Note: You must not open the sealed envelope. Score reports are not considered official if the seal is broken or tampered with."

You'll get an envelope from CELPIP in the mail. In that envolope is another smaller one, that one you have to send to CIC.

Yeah right. Open the envelope then you will see just a folded paper for your personal score report, and a smaller white envelope containing the official score report that should remain sealed...
