Hi,

I have a wife and kid. Although in application I am declaring that I have a wife and kid but in "Is your spouse accompanying with you" - I am saying no. This increases my point (from 435 to 460) and hence, chance of getting the ITA.

I DO understand, I cannot bring my wife and kid along with me when I land. My question is : typically, how long does it take to process for them so that we can be united again ?

Also, do I have to apply for them ONCE I AM IN Canada OR I can apply for them ONCE I GET the visa ?

It takes 12-18 months if you apply from Canada.
Why not seek PNP @ 435 points and apply with family? all it will cost is 3-6 months more to get nomination

12-18 minimum . It took 29 months for my buddy to bring his wife to canada

+1500 CAD.

It's better to apply with spouse and take the PN route than apply later by 'sponsor the spouse' program.
