How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

Hi All,

Passport received on 9th July through regular mail even though I had included return xpresspost envelope. Any ways I am still happy that finally I got it.

Dear Friends,

I received an email from Ottawa on June 26 asking me to send them my passport. I sent my passport to my relative in Canada and asked him to mail it to Ottawa using xpresspost service. According to Canada post website, my passport was delivered to Ottawa on July 9. I emailed CIC this morning and they said that the information on my file does not show the reception of my passport. I am very worried and I am wondering whether this is a normal case or not !!!

Please guys, if you know about similar cases, just let me know.

hey guys i am here to share my landing experince.. i landed on june 28 cz i moved the next day to a new place so cudnt post it earlier.. ok i received my passport in mail on june 28 and when i received it, i was so exited that while opening the envelope i tore the COPR with the photographs.. i had my butt in my mouth that i have been waiting for this paper for last 2 years and when i got it i tore it.. k so keeping my calm i decided to got to the border like that thinking it shudn't be a problem cz i have visa.. so i went there with COPR in pieces and when i reached there i asked one officer outside the office that will this copr work n she was like no cz she said they need to be scan and asked me to get a replacement copr from ottawa.. i was like holy *censored word* it wud take like another month or so cz it was my mistake. i went home cursing myself all the way for what i did..when i reached home i was like no i have to do something i cant wait more n then i glued it and dried it for like an hour n then i went back to a diff border and fortunately i got a good officer who was like i did that too in xcitement so dont worry.. OMG i was so happy n everything took like 15 min r so n m a P.R.. at that night we partied hard lol..

Buddy, reply to their email with a tracking number from Canada post, you can find information on canadapost.ca, mention it was delivered to the add on the said date and time, also attach the screenshot from website, could be possible its just sitting in PO box no. not in actual office.

There is this much you can do...and make sure you confirm everything with canadapost customer service...

Hello guys, this is my first post in this thread.

I sent my passports today to ottawa. Based on general feedback in this forum seems like if nothing goes very wrong i should get it back in 2-3 weeks.

Buddy, reply to their email with a tracking number from Canada post, you can find information on canadapost.ca, mention it was delivered to the add on the said date and time, also attach the screenshot from website, could be possible its just sitting in PO box no. not in actual office.

There is this much you can do...and make sure you confirm everything with canadapost customer service...

Email them back and send a copy of your tracking number... ;-) i did email them just right after somebody from their office received our passports. And asked them to kindly acknowledge if recieved, and they did.. I also told them my reason why I'm so skeptical... Because one time I send an updated copy and accdg to my tracking it was indeed recieved and to my surprise it was missing that a VO has to call me 60days after/due date for submission. So Yes, send them email again together with your tracking number! And once received usually takes 3weeks to get back ur passport if u addressed it to ur relatives here. Goodluck & hopes everything will be fine there! ;-)

Sent my passport June 11, received June 13, Visa & CoPR printed June 28 and mailed them back July 4, I got my passport July 5.. I uses Priority mail (next day delivery) instead of xpresspost. 2-3 day delivery..

Attention your email to the VO initials, you will see that on the email on the very down? Just after the "Sicerely" section..

e.g: Sincerely,

Case Processing Pilot -Ottawa/ Centre de Traitement Plote- Ottawa - AB1234 <<<<< this is the code of the visa officer looking after your files... Then email it to Ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca then attention your letter to: AB1234 but on your subject write your concerns + your file number. ;-) goodluck. We officially became PR today @ 3pm...

There was nothing after "Sincerely" on my PPR email, it was just the biodata form.

My passport was received at CPPO July 8th and still haven't heard anything back.

Mine is exactly same as yours. Nothing below "Sincerely" except Bio Data form. I also received my PPR on 3July, 2013, send them on 4th july, received there on 8July, monday.

I have one doubt here. When you log in your ecas can you see two address there or just one. ? Well I can see only one address which is my mailing address. But in ecas of one of my friend (who already got his PP back with visa) he can see two adresses and both are same. He didn't updated them but it got updated automatically (which i am not sure may be its when they print his copr or something else I dont know). Can you check yours.

Please keep me updated when you receive your PP back.

Have you got a confirmation from CPP that your passport was received by them, or you just have the Canada Post confirmation of delivery ?!
