How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

Hey guys,

I'm new but just wondering if anyone is going through what I am April 2013 they requested copies of my passport and 2 passport photo's for them to complete my conformation since then I have sent copies of passport and photo's 3 times they keep saying it has been sent but I haven't received anything yet the last set of copies I sent was on June 3 2013 and it arrived the next day I also included a pre-paid envelope from FedEx I emailed them again and they insisted it was shipped.

has anyone in the Texas area or the U.S experience this? any help will do guys

they dont use fedex. since you didnt provide a canada post envelope, they probably sent it via canadapost regular mail

It is the 9th month now, just wondering if I can get my passport back this month :'(. Does anyone low if the strike will affect the process of our passports or not? :'( :'( :'(

9 months or 9 weeks? Hopefully, you will get it soon ...

Congrats! Seems now the average time to get the passport back is 1 month.

Alert – Strike Action
The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.

Posted processing times for both temporary and permanent resident visa applications do not take into account work stoppages.

Anyone applying for a visa should anticipate delays and submit their application as far in advance as possible.

Contingency plans are already in place to ensure all offices remain open and are providing at least a minimum level of service. Priority will be placed on urgent humanitarian applications.

CIC continues to closely monitor the situation.

I sent my passport on May 1 via XpressPost. Got it back on may 17. I also applied as pnp within Canada

Finally Today, we received our passports back after 5 weeks. It have been a long trip for us. I wish everyone can have the same hapiness that I feel. Sooner than later. Good luck everyone.
