How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

I have the exact same time and characteristics as you, but I am still waiting and the tracker is not yet activated.

I believe they give passport stamping priority to old PR applicants... Like I am a July 2011 application to Buffalo... Most of you are 2012 applicants and you already got PPR... Thats just a guess

I hope you are right my friend, but I am a Apr. 2011 applicant and they received my passport on Feb 13 and I am still waiting

They are Not giving priority to anybody, they are just sitting their and sending PPR requests while taking naps in-between. Once they hit 1 million passports received (jackpot!!! ;D) and collect enough money..they will start stamping them...Thats one of my very good guess

We are still awaiting the passport. The notes on your file do not currently state that the passport has been received.

Though this might mean that you mail is still on its way, it can also mean that your passport has arrived to our office but has not yet been opened, due to high volume of correspondence received.

Hope this explains your question.

sounds like they have not received your passport, or just don't know where they put it. Did you track your package when you mailed it to them? See who signed for it and maybe email them again....

I guess that they have received your PP, but has not yet been opened. That is ridiculous. Do they take 5 weeks to open a package?

Hi,

In the email I sent them, I did mention my package arrived CPP-O on 2013/02/22. The tracker showed it received by DAVID TURPIN.
I don't understand why some of PPs sent after mine but they received their PP back already.
Let say there is some special priorities, they still need to open the package first, then determine to process it or not....
Now they replied me that they haven't opened my package due to high volume,....
It doesn't make sense at all. Am I stupid?

We have received your passport and your application is currently in queue to be finalized. Please note that we are unable to estimate the remaining processing time required for your application.



If you have included a prepaid Xpresspost return envelope, your passport will be returned using this envelope. If you have followed the instructions on the website and kept note of the tracking number, you should be able to follow its delivery on the Canada Post website.



If you did not provide a prepaid Xpresspost return envelope, your passport has been returned to you by regular mail.

I got the same reply one week back saying "Due to wide Amount of correspondence, we might have-nots to your correspondence gotten yet."

do not worry about that..wait and track your return envelope daily...

my package also reached shows "DAVE TURPIN" signature...I guess this is not a person who signed..
because we sent the packages to Post Box number...
mail man would have dumped all our packages in a box..and CIC is picking randomly and processing...

there are full bunch of passport packages at CIC right now...
