How long after submitting application to taking language test

Does anyone know how much time it takes after submitting the citizenship application to being asked to take the language test?

You could supply your old language test or Canadian college/university transcript as proof. Or just go get it done if you don’t have either.

Thank you. The question is on behalf of my wife. She does not have the necessary proofs and will need to study for the English test, which is why I am wondering about the time between submitting the application and being asked to take the test.

I think you got this wrong. You need the language test result before submitting the application. Not after.

Check the eligibility section-
must demonstrate adequate knowledge of English or French (if you are between 18 and 54 years old when you apply)

Many thanks! Sometimes it is difficult to read the bureaucratic language ... my wife is in Level 4 LINC so she should finish before she applies.
