The most important thing is: NEVER lie!
When Cic find out that you lied in something, they will charge you with misrepresentation and then you have a problem.
A big one. :)

Try to locate someone in your family that knows them and could help you get their address (that is the route we took kept asking other family members until we found one that kept contact with them....) It could also be found using directory assistance providing you know your relatives name and their city that they are residing in.

Chris.

It is VERY important to include them. Even if you try to get their addresses, stilllist them in the application, and write a note to accompany your application that you don't have specific contact details.

And as others have said, please do NOT lie, or it may come back to haunt you.

I would say it depends who those relatives are (close in relation or not). We did not list any of my husbands' 2nd cousins and his aunt (1st cousin of his mom).

There is no way of CIC knowing there is a relation between my husband and his 2nd cousins. He was never asked about it, and had his PR approved without any issues in half the posted time.

The reason why we did not list them is because we did not have any contact with them, even now we don't have any contact with them and we live in the same city.

If the family was close in relation (ie, my husband's sister or brother, or parent) than of course we would have listed them regardless.

FYI, the technical term for your husband and his mother's cousin is "first cousin, once removed". As far as family relations go, I would include first cousins, but nothing beyond that (not really family, but extended kin network).
