How do u you define AOR?

My question is when visa office has received your application,AOR is issued immediately or is issued once they have reviewed your application.

Rogers, THanks for replying to the post but this does not answer the question OP asked.

It takes abot 60-90 days average for AOR (acceptance of receipt) from CIO.

It's concerning the visa office(Buffalo).I need to know what is the difference between AOR And review of the application .

Does one gets AOR from the visa office and then review of the application happens or review happens and then AOR is sent?.

How long does visa(Buffalo)office take to do review and Send AOR?

AOR is just a confirmation of receipt, its before reviewing the application.

Application process at the Visa Offices


Upon receipt of your application or the expiry of the 120 day deadline, a visa officer will make a final determination of eligibility for processing based on the information on file.
If your application does not qualify for processing under the Ministerial Instructions, you will be sent a letter that:


•provides details on the reason why your application is not eligible for processing, and
•confirms that a refund for the processing fee will be issued.


Selection and Admissibility

If the Visa Office finds your application to be eligible for processing, it will then be assessed against the following:

•minimum requirements
• selection factors
• sufficient funds
•admissibility (criminality, security, medical)

AOR is send after your application is received even before the review. You application sits in oending review status for 2-3 months after AOR and then goes in process
