How CIC will decide Inland or Outland application?

When paid fees online, there is no option of selecting Inland or Outland.
How can I explicitly confirm that I am making an Outland application?

because the applications are different. there are more document requirements for inland than outland. also, there is an option for paying fees for each stream. the second drop down box before you can choose the type of fee asks you what fees you are paying for. its the box right below the box that asks which country you are paying from. one option is for outland - "sponsoring a spouse, dependant or family member outside of canada" and another option is for inland - "sponsoring a spouse in canada class."

By mistake selected Spouse in Canada class. Next been to payment screen and paid.
Nothing specified on Payment reciept.
But all application is Outland and Spouse never been to canada.
Can I write in cover letter saying this is an outland application?

sure. the fees are the same, so i'm not sure it even matters which category was chosen... paying a fee for one stream isn't going to automatically switch your application to that stream. again, it's based on the application package and documents.

Thanks for info. I have checked CIC website FAQ's, even they say it does not matter.
