i read it, its kinda confusing.... just seeking out some people who had pocessed their LMO before
Call Canada Revenue Agency, get a number as employer.
Advertise the position for at least 14 days, with the national job bank. You need to print the ad when it goes online.
NB: The ad is to show recruitment efforts that no Canadian Citizen, PR or worker already in Canada applied and/or qualified for the position.
Sign a contract with your prospective employee; submit LMO application (you need to attach documents with your application) It used to be free but check with Service Canada. There had been recent changes that I heard were made but had not read on.

From which province is that costing $275.00 for advertising in local media? My employer had already done the posting in job bank and will be doing the ads in local newspaper in calgary but she was asked for a charge of $1200.00. Is that way too expensive?

2. The LMO must be advertised in the job bank for 4 weeks as well
Using 2 or more additional methods of recruitment consistent with the normal practice for the occupation.
as a minimum, employers must choose one method that is national in scope, since people in higher-skilled positions are often mobile and willing to re-locate for work; and
employers can choose one or more recruitment methods among these:
print media (national or provincial/territorial newspapers, national journals, magazines with national coverage, specialized journals, professional associations magazines, newsletters, etc.);
general employment websites (canadastop100.com, vault.com, workopolis.com, monster.ca, etc.); and,
specialized websites dedicated to specific occupation profiles (e.g. accounting, marketing, biotechnology, education, engineering, etc.)
The advertisement must be posted for a minimum of 4 weeks starting from the first day the ad appears and is accessible to the general public.

For the posting in job bank and in one of the newspaper, can it be done simultaneously or should it be one after the other? In that case, only till the ads is finished can the LMO be applied?

Yes, only after the 4 weeks can you send in an application for the LMO, and you can advertise simultaneously.
