Hi guys,

I'm new here and nice to meet you all. Just a little bit about myself: I'm from HK and applying EE from Thailand (currently working in Bangkok). I only have 390 CRS points now (yea, I know it's kinda low) but I'm waiting for my WES and I'm going to take my IELTS again early next month. Hopefully, I will get 360ish and receive an ITA some time later this year. It's good to see you guys sharing useful info around. I truly appreciated it. I wish you all successful in getting your PR and have a great start in Canada.

I just have a question regarding my EE profile. Is it necessary to add the work history and education history to my profile even if I can't or I don't intend to get CRS points from them? As my wife is Thai and she has never worked in Canada, so her Thai work history doesn't count anyway and her university certificate is written in Thai. I think if I can get enough points for ITA, why bother doing WES for my wife's degree which only add a few points, right?

Thanks guys.

Education and work experience for which you do not claim points can be added in the personal history section after you get the ITA.
All the best with your future application.

Include trips, can't hurt to provide IRCC with more information than required.

Ok! yes that was our idea, just to know more opinions, as here in Macau we can't find anything. Thanks PurpleTuzi!

Not much activity in our thread unfortunately. Let's hope February will bring good news for us!

Oh nice!! That's good to know thanks. By the way how do I know which office will process my application?

Local office is largely determined based on ur residence. U can order GCMS note to get an idea about which office is processing ur case.

Hi there, any updates from Hong Kong VO?
Complete silence, that sucks. No any PNP-outlands got a PPR.

I just received request for additional document from HKVO Grin It's a China specific document.

Good luck to us all!

Here is my time line.

FSW-Outland

12.30 AOR
01.13 MEP
01.15 BG: NN>NS
01.19 AD: Travel History
01.22 BG: NS>NN
02.09 AD: Hukou

Good news
Two SK PNP applicants got PPR This afternoon. Hong Kong VO r back to work!

Hi Guys, just got a general question. How long does it take from ITA to Approval to land? And what to expect besides submitting the documents and medical exam?

I'll answer your question as best as possible below:

1. IRCC's average processing time is 6 months for permanent residence applications, but a few of us have been processed in less than 2 months

2. If you are approved you will be expected to land within a year of your medical except in cases where your passport expires before then.

3. You may be requested to submit additional documents.

Hope this helps! Good luck!
