Probably it's a good news for you. Maybe you don't need to have the interview. Congrats to you, will be a mother soon.
I didn't hear anything from them again after that email. I ordered the GCMS notes on Mar 9, and I haven't got it yet, then I wrote to the IRCC about how long the delayed notes has been expired. I guess this is the reason I received the email from them.
Hope so too .
thanks . I requested GCMS notes on April 14 th and got It last Friday .

Did you raise webform to IRCC HK or other offices? I wrote to them in February, but they never replied to me.

I did write to IRCC Hong Kong in Mar by webform, and inquiry whether it's available that I have the interview in the mainland instead of Hong Kong. I believe I'm not the only one mainlander waiting for the interview. After that, I did not write any email to IRCC Hong Kong. But I sent two emails to IRCC ATIP email address talking about GCMS notes. That's it.

I hope I can hear further news from them soon. They didn't ask me to submit any additional documents. Normally, the applicants who were required to submit additional documents will be approved and receive the pre-arrival letter very soon.

I see. I know of another mainlander who was expecting the interview back in February. Surprisingly, he received pre-arrival services in April. I suspect IRCC HK may be waiving interviews for some simple cases. Anyway, best of luck with the process.

Thank you for your wish! He was very lucky. I won't expect they waive my interview, in turn, I wish they don't deny my application.

Previously they conducted interviews in Beijing but that was shut down due to some internal issues a few years ago.
Don't think they will go back to that. Unfortunately with all this Covid stuff IRCC is operating with reduced staff causing
even more delays and probably many waiting for interviews. That won't change anytime soon as they prioritize their work.
Hopefully things get better and they can start working through the backlogs. So keep you fingers crossed !
Not much to do around here now but I understand what it's like not being together.

I saw IRCC has provided the video conference interview for domestic applicants since Apr under the epidemic of COVID 19. But it's absolutely not available for outside applicants. I understand nothing else I can do for the application process besides waiting. 2020 is a sad year!

2020 may not be so sad.:)
You have something to look forward to so keep busy, be prepared ( for interview ), get lots of vitamin D, and stay healthy.
Once things settle down and get back to work I think IRCC will have to Fast-track the process in some areas to clear up the backlogs.
Hopefully " Family Sponsorship " is a priority. I just hope they don't open the border between Canada and the USA anytime soon !
Otherwise, I may have to find more sanitizer ( Baijiu ).

I have already "book" a ticket for her and me (her can be cancel easily (I am using my "points for a one way ticket), for mine I can change or exchange for a credit).
