i wonder how long the visa process will take, now that they are being flooded with all of the DM's

Not that I know how things are done, but I would think they should be able to process a lot of these. How hard can it be to put a visa in a passport and print the COPR?

Family reunion visas are suppose to be highest priority too yes?

you would think so, but our immigration application sat there for almost a year before anyone even touched it, and when they did, it took them only 1 day to decide.

Never heard of reunion visa being prioritized, unless i missed some info?

hi there,

we had passport requests almost 3 weeks ago and we sent my wife passport to Hongkong canada visa address provided in the Email. one week later, we received another email stating that we have yet to pay the right of Permanent Residence fee (490 cad). we totally thought the right of ermanent redsidence fee was the 550 cad fees we paid before, so we paid the RPRF fees from online, and sent the receipt to /hong-kong case specific enquireies portal
as requested from the email.

the email stated only use one mthod of submission which by the way if no original documents are requested ,they stated to use online portal.

Our application was smooth as butter, i hope this won't affect our application, we only started spouse sponsorship back in December 2015 last year.

so my questions is that, should we send the receipt again by mail to Hongkong address?
and does this delay our application at all? since i read from this forum some people say you should pay RPRF upfront , since RPRF will delay your application for 3-6 months.

i am very worried, so how much time it take them to stamp our passport?

thank you

hello everybody,

Can I pls ask opinion to you guys, our VO is requesting for CNCC to my wife and we couldn't find her HKID before and she can not remember her HKID number. Is there anyway we can request for the police clearance without the said Hong kong ID. Thanks for the insight..

Please check this link http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/total-fees-for-my-spouse-sponsorship-t99997.0.html

if you only paid $550, then you r missing RPRF fee, the total cost for spousal sponsorship is $1040. And if you already paid online, send the receipt to the office, it won't hurt, but make sure you have a copy. Hope that helps ... And it could delays the process but no body really knows. Good luck

You should call HK police headquarter and ask them.

I thought reunion visas are supposed to be prioritized but I'm not sure. But I can see most people get it back within a month. Hopefully u will get it soon.

Just received email from Hong Kong to re- medical exam. The original one will be expired on June-10-2016. It means will be PPR soon?

For me it was, they received my medical on March 16, 2016, and received my police clearance on March 31st n I got my copr on April 22 but I'm a hk passport holder so no ppr needed.

Visa exempt passports would get the COPR directly in the mail.
