For those are still IP, I'm gonna make a bold speech of my observation according to recent DM cases, if your ecas shows up this line

We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on xxx xxx, 2015

And the XXX XXX is your AOR2 date, you're probably about to get DM real soon.

I hope my observation is correct and can help people who are still waiting on DM and have been stuck on IP, we can only tell by more people's experiences if this is the sign of DM.

p.s. If there's anyone who has got DM but doesn't have that line please let me know if I'm wrong!

Ottawa seems to have so backlogs recently, but I assume you have to tracking number of the mail, just give it time.

:'(Case got rejected, my wife just received a snail mail from HK VO. I dont know why they sent out regular mail instead of Email.
Does anyone know any good reliable immigration lawyer? So frustrated.

I don't have this line and I never received aor2.

Hi Everyone,

First of all congratulations to those of you who have received good news recently! :D

Some of you may have seen a thread I started in September under Family Class sponsorship about PhD research I'm doing on the Family Class application process.

I'm looking for people to participate in an anonymous online survey about their experiences of the application process to sponsor family members. My goal is that the results can be used for advocacy to make improvements to the system for people who want to sponsor family members in the future.

I'm still looking for lots more people to respond to the survey - the more people respond the stronger the results will be. In particular I’m looking for people who are not well-represented in the data I already have. Unfortunately I haven't heard from many people sponsoring family members from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, so that's why I'm posting in this thread.

So if any of you are interested in telling me about your experiences with, and recommendations for, the sponsorship process I'd like to invite you to go to https://survey.ryerson.ca:443/s?s=4526 .
On the first page you'll find more information about the survey, and at the bottom of that page there is a button to click on to start the survey. The survey can be done in English or French. The moderators of this forum have given me permission to post about the survey.

Thanks so much everyone for taking the time to read this and to those of you still waiting, good luck with your applications! :)

Pretty typical, "I am not satisfied that your marriage to your sponsor is genuine, or that it was not entered in to primarily for the purpose of acquiring permanent residence in Canada".

I just do not understand their standards? My wife works in a government department, and she is the only child in the family. We had a child, but miscarried. Why would they think our relationship is not genuine, or she married me just for PR? Not everybody wants Canadian PR Status, my wife hates cold weather.

Ah you are one of the exemption of aor2 lol I've seen some people didn't get aor2 too, I wonder if it's processed by the same officer.....

Your choice is to appeal and order notes at the same time to see their comments on your case, maybe there's more concerns that they did not tell you on the interview. I'm sorry to hear that, good luck to you and your wife.

I am sorry to hear that, bambooc. As benitaagogo mentioned, order the notes as soon as possible as it takes 30 days to receive. That will help you gather stronger evidence for your appeal.
