I see. Make sense. So no landing required. That's nice!

No, every one needs COPR to land, it's short for Confirmation of Permanent Residence, it's a piece of paper shows the custom your permanent residence is confirmed so you can land in Canada to complete the process.

Congrats siuanna and vanhk! :)

Sweet!!! I am in Canada as well!! But on the guide for Taiwanese we don't have to provide the mailing labels, I hope it won't affect them mailing COPR.
Did they send it the day you got DM?

Perhaps they will mail the COPR to you anyway. Who knows! Yeah they issued and sent the COPR on the day of DM.

Hi. My wife is also a May applicant. I see one other HKVO May applicant in the Hong Kong spreadsheet in the link in my signature at the bottom of my post. Feel free to add your own information to it so that current and future applicants can benefit from having an idea of the lengths of each part of the timeline. You could also do it for the other 2 spreadsheets in my signature.

As I remember, the instructions asked for police certificate of your country plus any others where you have lived for 6 months or more since the age of 18. So is this true of Hong Kong? If so then you'd better send it to save a bit of time as HKVO would ask for it when they get around to checking the Police Clearance part of your application. If this is NOT true of Hong Kong then don't send unless HKVO asks for it.

Just landed by parking the car at peace arch park, then walked to US CBA as long queue for driving to get flagpole tag. Then walked back to CBSA counter to land. Only 10 mins walk from the park to CBA(US custom). Only 30 mins for the paper work.
