This is really helpful information ymserver!!! Are you in Hong Kong or in Canada? I'm in Canada, not sure if I will get the COPR mailed here or not.

Thanks! I am in Canada, and they mailed to the Canadian mailing address I provided. Did you provide the 8 mailing labels with the application? They used one of those labels to mail me back. I am quite impressed with HKVO that they used registered mail as well.

When they asked for labels? Not sure my agent provided

No need for sending the passport to HKVO but they have to either upload all pages of the passport as PDF file online or send the photo copies to HKVO, although visa exempt countries applicants normally get the CORP mailed to them, HKVO doesn't seem to do so, I've only heard one Taiwanese applicant got her COPR without PPR, the COPR was sent to her agent after DM, the agent said it was the first time they received COPR without PPR. It's just rare for HKVO to do that.

Have you got DM yet?

I checked yesterday and it got to Decision Made now. ;D Now is also waiting for PPR or COPR.

Sweet!!! I am in Canada as well!! But on the guide for Taiwanese we don't have to provide the mailing labels, I hope it won't affect them mailing COPR.
Did they send it the day you got DM?

Congratulation ymserver! ;D ;DReally happy for you! I am in Canada too. hopefully they will send me the COPR instead of PPR which I don't need to mail the passport.

So I would like to bring some positive energy to this thread! I have been waiting for PPR email for two weeks from DM, but today I have got COPR in the mail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very good question, siuanna. I guess I am one of the rare bunch who got COPR without PPR. I totally didnt expect it, because I heard even if we submitted photos and a copy of passport with the application, they will still ask for them after DM. (I hold HK passport) I guess it really depends on the Visa Officer.

In my application, besides the photos required, we also submitted a copy of applicant's passport, and a label form with 8 return mailing address labels (also required from IMM3903).

In conclusion, I did not get any email from HKVO after getting DM, and I received COPR in the mail 2 weeks after DM without PPR.
Good luck to everyone!

It's on the guide for Hong Kong applicants, your agent probably have since it's on the check list.

New line has been added into the ECAS website:

We sent you correspondence on (date I received PPR email). If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Guys!!! We received COPR today!!! They mailed to us on Nov 11th!!! What a great news!!!

Since we provided photocopied passports when submitting application...no PPR step... They mailed landing paper to our mailing address directly

Is it because you are in Canada?

Because Hong Kong/ Taiwan are visa-exempt region/country, so if you've attached everything with your application from the beginning, it's the vo's call if they will send you PPR or COPR.
But every Mainlander will receive PPR regardless.

I see. Make sense. So no landing required. That's nice!
