I just got DM!! I have been IP since Aug 13. HKVO requested re-med and HK police certificate on the same date. I re did medical in the same week as well as submitting the application for HK police certificate via courier to HK Police. HK police sent the police cert to HKVO in mid-Sep. I haven't received PPR email yet.

PPR is normally sent to the applicant via email, right?

Omg congrats!!!! Glad you and your spouse can celebrate this Christmas together!!!

Yes PPR email will be sent to the applicant's email but some people get it within a week after DM but some wait for weeks.....don't know how it works but at least you got the DM now just give it sometime and plan the trip to Canada :)

That's a good start of November, hope it will be a month of PPR rain!

ECAS updates every tues, it's Monday,U just checked?

Thanks!! Yeah I just checked, and I checked last week too (although don't remember which day I checked last week).

Hi Everyone,

I have a question,

If one doesn't check ecas everyday and it changes to In Process ,how would you know the day it changed? Would it be the date ecas was modified last?

Because I checked my ecas around oct 10 and it was already In Process, so because a lot of people got IN Process on the 9th ,I have always assumed it was on the 9th, but the ecas modified date says Oct 2nd.

Any explanation will be appreciated.

You should look at the dates on the ECAS information. It means your file was received and filed at HKVO on Oct 2nd.

Hi sashali78,

I didn't mean the date they received my application or the date it shows We started processing your application on ************, I meant the date the ecas was updated from Application Received to In process (Date modified).

I know what you meant, but the only date which has a meaning is the date it actually says inside eCAS, not the day ECAS was updated. So, as i mentioned above, the date they say they started processing your application is the date it was received and filed by HKVO

sashali78 thank you for trying to answer my question.

I know what you mean,

I just want to know the date my e-cas page turn from application received to In process.

As for when they started processing it and every other information, I know.

So does anyone know how to tell when the VO changes your e-cas page from Application received to In process.

I have always thought mine was Oct 9th but the page's last modified date was Oct 2nd.

eCAS can be updated any day of the week (although it says its updated on Tuesdays), so there is no way to know it unless you check it every day. Why is it important to you when it changed?

or according to my notes, the date my ecas status updated to in process is the date eligibility passed. (MINE IS OLD IP)

New IPs started only from applications filed around May this year. New IP also coincides with or is around the AOR2 date while the old was coming months after AOR2. If you look at vanhk timeline, you will see her is an old IP type
