Hi

Did you get the request email form HK consulate to do the police cert in HK or you just went there by yourself??

My application was received on Jan 9 and transferred to HK on Feb 19. (I already get the applicant uci) but there is no more updates ever since that day.

If you did your police cert in hk by yourself, can you tell me how? The HK Police doesn't take personal request, does it?

my case is the first email from cic is asking for police cert, they count as missing docs and not able to process my application, the email with attached letter for me to bring to hk police station in order to do police cert.
i can only keep waiting their second reply that show my application has being processed with uci number, otherwise i cant check anything on my status or enquiries

I see...I am holding a working visa in HK and already sent the police check from my birth country...I think that's why they didn't ask me to do the HK police check in the first stage...but still need it for the second stage...

I sent email to HK consulate two days ago and they reply that my case is still pending in queue waiting to be reviewed...sigh...it's already been 2.5 months since I got my uci...

i got the SA early this month... Did you check with Hk police headquarter when the police cert was sent to Canada ? Mine was sent on 28 March.

Just the enquiry hotline of the police clearance cert. section ..You can just search on the police department website...

Finally............we received the passport back and the letter of confirmation of PR in Canada today.

Actually, this is my wife application and I am her sponsor.

Here we share the timeline for your reference.

AOR2: Nov 18 2013
Passport submitted: 08 Jan 2014
Police Cert. sent to VO: 22 Jan 2014
Application Status Changed to "In Process": 08 May 2014
Passport received: 22 May 2014
Day 1 to now: 6 months and 4 days.

Congratulations! It is good to hear of something happening in Hong Kong. I was starting to wonder if they were doing anything there. ;D
