There was no number on my letter. I just email the CIC Central Processing Centre to check whether they have received it about six weeks after I had applied from HKP. CIC wrote back in a few days.Do they provide tel no in the letter? otherwise, which number or office should we call? Thanks
You may want to check with the local police office or FBI and see what they can do.Guys,
I have not yet received the request from CIC to initiate HK PCC, but I am hoping to get it in coming 2 weeks. Wanted to check with you as to what forms to use for sending the fingerprints. Will FD-258 form, that is used for FBI PCC do? Can you guys please clarify on this. And also where can I get the fingerprints done in the US.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks for your reply, can you also reply on the form to be used for getting the fingerprints. Did you use FD-258 or some other form that is accepted by HK?You may want to check with the local police office or FBI and see what they can do.
The HKP doesn't specify the form to use and I don't think it's up to applicants to decide what form to use. Your local police or FBI should be using their own form. When I did it mine in Bangkok Thailand, they used they standard form which was very similar to the FBI form I saw on the internet. I assume that's the international standard. Thanks for your reply, can you also reply on the form to be used for getting the fingerprints. Did you use FD-258 or some other form that is accepted by HK?
Thanks for your reply. I will use FD-258 then as that is what FBI uses. When do we normally receive this request letter from CIC, after clearing medical or before that. Will they hold the medicals till I provide the HK PCC?The HKP doesn't specify the form to use and I don't think it's up to applicants to decide what form to use. Thank you!The request is usually sent to your CIC account after med passed because there is no officer looking into the case before that (according to what people mentioned after reading their GCMS). (But always keep in mind that CIC is not predictable... we just speak from our experience)
Congratulations! Finally I got my PPR after 145 days
I have been a bit impatient and wrote them an email asking about which my VO is. Then I got it today. I don't know if there is anything to do with my email.... Nothing to lose...Big congrats @spth38
I am also a FSW-O applicant and have been silent all the time, trying to be patient and let IRCC do their work.
Here is my timeline:
AOR on 15 June 2017
Med Pass on 10 July 2017
IP1 on 11 July 2017
1st ADR received on 11 July 2017
1st ADR submitted on 18 July 2017
2nd ADR received on 18 July 2017
2nd ADR submitted on 25 July 2017
HKCNCC sent out by HK Police on 27 July 2017
Since then no update. Background check status is "Your application is in process..." and additional document status is "being reviewed".
Your case encourages me that it will be paid off after long wait.
Hopefully I will see some progress on my application and will receive PPR soon!
