I notified my insurance company that I have people renting part of my house and they cancelled my insurance policy. Though, I am due for renewed. I want to know is there insurance for renting out primary residence? Thanks for any experience. I am so thinking maybe I shouldn't have informed them as I have insurance for more than 4yrs without any claim.

Of course, when the building does burn down, they could just walk away and pay nothing, on the grounds that there was no disclosure of increased risk. You probably need to talk with an experienced broker.
