My Profile

BBA 2019 CGPA: 3.08
6 Months experience and all in Mnc, including Nestle and RB
Got Carleton MBA offer letter on 17th August for Fall 2020 intake.
Travel History: Europe, Dubai, & Oman - No Refusals

I am going to take the risk and apply next week for Fall 2020 as deferment to winter 2020 is not available at Carleton. I live in Pakistan with my brother and my parents and elder brother lives in Oman. I am really worried about Home Country ties. I will be attaching Property Documents (including one on my name), further please provide guidance.

Should I write that I will come back and pursue my professional career either in Pakistan or in Oman? This can show that I have options, or will it adversely impact the country ties?

Lastly, there is an internship included in degree, so should I mention that or not?

Kindly assess my profile, and guide me how to show strong family ties and if there is anything else I should focus to increase my odds.

Thank You!

If you hold a Pakistani passport, then your home country is Pakistan. You should only mention about what will you do after returning to Pakistan. Where your brothers or parents live is irrelevant. Just talk about you and your professional growth in Pakistan after this MBA. Do not mention Oman etc in your SOP.
You will have a form to fill about your family and travel history, you can fill the information there.

Well I can show job, but the degree duration 20 months so obviously I will have to leave and therefore won't be impactful. Any other suggestion please?

The form will weaken my ties and thats why I will have to counter it in my SOP.
1. I can say that my parents are going to retire and they will come back.
2. I can pursue my career in Oman, which a friend of mine did in 2015 and worked for him.
3. I can say my mother lives here as she is half of the year with us.

What should I write?

There are many Pakistani nationals born and brought up in the Middle East, so it is relevant where you have spent your life and also relevant what you immigration status is and number of years in the 3rd country, if you are non a national of the country in which you live. You should show ties to your country of permanent residence.

I have lived all my life in Pakistan, so how should I show ties to Pakistan and what about the internship?

Family you leave behind in Pakistan, possessions including housing you leave behind in Pakistan, prospects you highlight on return to Pakistan, inability to study what you want in Pakistan causing you to look to Canada, savings in Pakistan.

It's reallly not difficult. Just put yourself in the position of the visa officer who has seen it all, is very aware of the economic position of Pakistan, has experience in recognizing false documents etc.
