I hope not. They've been saying that they have a target for immigration this year and the upcoming years so they better get to it

Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker Pilots (new programs)_ This is what you will apply for. If you are eligible, the first step would be to find a Canadian employer. The minimum requirements are a little higher today but you get to bring your family, you don't have to live with your employer, and you can change employers freely withing Canada.

Covid situation will last until middle 2022, so it is crazy to think that no one can be approved til then.
I think that there is no family in this program who will wait 2,5 year for their caregiver.
We all forget that the immigration approved already work permits for this program as they announced on their website, but I don't remember how much applicants received their work permit. I can say just they are lucky ones, because we all waiting for the same results but longer period of time.
I truly hope that they will at least soon finish with all applications from 2019.

Dont Worry. Its worth the wait. By March they will progress faster because many of them will be vaccinated. They already planned to welcome more immigrants in 2021 till 2023.

Those that were probably given work permits are from inside Canada already.

Here in Alberta, general population is expected to be vaccinated by Fall. The 1st or 2nd quarter are those who are high risk and frontliners
