Passport submitted 5th September 2022
Passport Received with Visa 20th September 2022.
It's really been a long journey, praise Jesus we made it. Do not give up guys, keep your faith alive

Did they request for proof of funds from you? I thought the program doesn’t ask the applicants for that.

I think it depends in the officer who will handle your papers, some were asked OEC, PoF, others were not.. Saw it in various groups btw.

Did they request for proof of funds from you? I thought the program doesn’t ask the applicants for that.

I think it depends on the officer and your family size. Mine is a family of 5 and home child care provider is a low income job so the officer needs to be convinced we have a savings to fall back on pending when we get settled in Canada.

I guess one month processing for OEC isn’t bad at all , considering the painstaking waiting time we have to endure not knowing if will get the visa approval or not…

I think after this seminar, they're done with requirements of OEC. Just have to wait for the certificate..

Not in so much of a rush since we're still waiting for the TRV of their child.. hopefully it gets approved soon.

What is OEC?

Overseas Employment Contract

The OEC, also known as an exit clearance / pass, is a document certifying the regularity of recruitment and documentation of an OFW. It also serves as proof of their registration with the POEA. The OEC must be presented to an immigration officer at the airport when exiting the Philippines.
