I am in Canada since 4 months in HCCP. My consultant says total experience needed for me is still 24 months. I am worried. Can anyone tell me is it true that 12 months gaining experience is not for everyone?

Why are you worried first of all? You are already in Canada. At least enjoy that, Many HCCP are still waiting for approval.

Regarding 12 months vs 24 months work experience

Read here : https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/caregivers/child-care-home-support-worker/2023-changes.html

Once you complete 12 months of work experience, follow these guidelines and you will get PR.

Why does your Consultant/agent say still 24 months? Well, I think its time to change your consultant.

All the best.

Hello.
Please reply.
While submitting proof of 12 months work experience under HCCP inside Canada , do we need to submit PCC (POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE) . ?
Secondly , if the dependant has travelled outside of Canada in this last 12months , do he / she needs to submit PCC at time of submission of work experience .
Thirdly , if the main applicant has not gone outside of Canada in last 12 months , still the PCC is required to be submitted while submitting work experience.

Hello everyone. Please I need some help to understand what is going on with my application:
- HCCP outside Canada application submitted and received by IRCC in March 2020
- AOR was received a year after
- Biometrics was done June 2022
- Medical was done and passed Dec 2022
- No further updates since then
I checked the application status via the GCKey. These are the info:
- Medicals - passed
- Eligibility - We are processing whether you meet the eligibility requirements
- Background check - Not applicable
- Final Decision - Your application is in progress

I am not sure if anyone has the same timeline and similar updates as mine. Please help to comment.

There are lot of applicants in same situation as yours, two things are going to happen next, you may receive another request from IRCC for additional documents or you are going to receive eligibility pass letter along with passport request.

If your sister came in through HCCP or HSWP, then she must have OROP (Occupation Restricted Open Work Permit) which allows her to change Employer anytime. There is no need to inform IRCC about it.

Background Check Not Applicable means, the application is at the final stage now. Any day, you may get an outcome.

We are on the same boat. My background check status shows as "not applicable" for almost over a month. Then switched back to " we are processing... etc" Basically, background checking has 3 levels of validation. 1) Criminality 2) Security check and 3) Information sharing.

Once all these 3 have been validated, then hope for the best that you'll get the EL anytime soon. You can determined the status of your background check, either by calling them or requesting for CBSA notes.
