Regarding POEA, scan through this forum (there’s one who went through all the fuss of getting an OEC).Hi, I haven't been here in a while. I am an outside applicant from PH with application submitted Jan 2020.
So my application has finally progressed - I received a medical request.
What is the timeline once medical is completed?
Also, I would just like to make a clarification, once all of this is done, what type of VISA will I receive? Is it a work permit?
Lastly when it is time to go to Canada, would I be needing to present docs or declare anything to POEA?
normally, medical request should be on the last stage, it should be within 6 months only (because it’s also expensive). So those 2021 applicants who got the request must rejoice, because it means their application will have result before this year end or early next year (due to validity)
If they ask your physical passports to be sent to the embassy, 100% sure that you’re approved. you will receive a WORK VISA sticker in your passport (not permit). The ircc will email you a letter that says “your work permit will be given UPON ARRIVAL”. Print that copy, because the airline agents doesn’t know about that. I was almost got hold during my lay over because I was telling the airline agent (as if they’re immigration) in Munich airport that I only have a Work Visa. They have to call someone higher to validate. Until they let me inside the airplane.
thanks for sharing your update!
