Hi, I am 2020 March applicant, work overseas as nanny nd my work permit will expire in August. Can I go to my place of origin nd wait for result ,or do I hv to renew my contract nd work continuous till whole process. Will there be any negative impact on my file if I return to my place of origin after finishing current contract. ThksI only suggest upfront medical to inside canada applicant with 24 months or less. But if you’re willing to waste money, why not. It’s not a valid refusal reason if an applicant did an upfront (because it’s actually a normal thing if you will apply any work permit ONLINE).
I’m not willing to waste money for now. But I might take upfront medical if I have 20 months experience already.
And if you got refused right after you took medical exam, you just wasted your money. Then you mentioned for the whole family, not a good idea. Coz they won’t request a medical exam if you failed the eligibility. But if you’re 100% certain that your ECA is bachelor degree, IELTS good, with strong Proof of Ability To Work (nurse or any medical profession), then go for it.
You will just update your address thru webform. Don’t worry, all communications will be on email IF you ticked the “communication preference:email” on the form. The requirements are all the same in every country. You have to update the address just in case you are refused and they will send it to your original address on file. But changing locations doesn’t matter.Hi, I am 2020 March applicant, work overseas as nanny nd my work permit will expire in August. Thks for responding, but my ques is that is it compulsory to maintain job status until we get result from IRCC, or we can take a break nd wait if our current job contract expires. You will just update your address thru webform. Before I left Saudi Arabia, i processed my police clearance before leaving the country.Hi Karan, if you leave country then there will be 1 problem it will take longer time to get pcc. I suggest you to wait until Pcc done.
Can you please share full timeline for them. Which country if outside canada. With family or single applicants, hsw or hccp. Thanks in advanceI know two people who got medical request.
They're both October 2019 applicants from outside Canada.
Some they got it after a couple of weeks while some have been waiting for months. I saw one who had their medicals done in January and haven't heard til now. Some have gone for medicals back in early 2020 before pandemic and still haven't heard anything from IRCCIf any one can share how much time it takes after medical done to get passport request
Hi! I’m still waiting for any of your updates regarding OEC. Btw, my cousin who was approved last 2017 under LMIA, was stuck for a year in the Philippines even with a visa stamp already (she’s DIY from LMIA to work permit). So I will appreciate any update of how long is the processing duration. Thanks! Thanks for the info. I don’t understand how and why did they put up that advisory then if they can’t just follow. Actually when I went there, they are all unaware on what to do with hccp program. At first they sent me wrong forms to fill in and asking me to provide LMIA or confirmation of nomination and I told them that I don’t have that. It’s like they were asking me documents of a caregiver. Then they said if I can’t provide an LMIA, they will still consult with POEA what’s the next plan coz I keep insisting that this program doesn’t need an LMIA. It was a longggg conversation, I even told them to call IRCC so they will be aware of it that I am telling the truth and they replied they can’t to that. I even asked our representative how could I provide those documents they’re asking and he said just to let them know that this program doesn’t need LMIA and since it is very new, they have little knowledge about it. They ( POLO) sent email to POEA to clarify what needs to be done. Then finally they asked me to make new employment contract they provided me with a form which is under skilled worker coz they were saying that the one that I sent them is incorrect it only says Offer Of Employment and it’s not an employment contract. Believe me, the excitement that I felt when my employee got her visa, it’s just suddenly disappeared after talking to them on that very first day visiting the office. I felt like I was so helpless and hopeless
While they are checking the documents that I gave them, they are so courteous and polite, they asked me to be seated and answer the surveys while waiting. I put a very satisfactory rating of all the questions but after hearing all the stuffs that I needed to do I grabbed back my survey and throw it in a bin. I was really pissed off. Ohh my Bad! Sorry just human.

Congratulations! Thanks for sharing your adventure!Hi,
My employee is coming on Monday from Philippines. They just released her passport with OEC stamp on Tuesday April 5 and I booked for her flight right away and the air fare price is way too high, doubled actually! As soon as the agency received the documents ( verified employment contract) that I sent back from Polo, it took them about 3 weeks to process the OEC. Patience, Stress, and all frustrations has been paid off.
