Application received July 23, 2019
AOR and BIL August 31, 2019
Oct 2019 request for NOAs and T4s
Feb 2020 request for birth certificates of children under care
Looks like you are the farthest in the race so far, I have not heard anyone with Medical Request? Chime in if anyone knows someone with complete medical. That would be fun to know since its the last step for stage 1 decision.

Hi. I got my medical request in March 2020 and no updates since then. I applied in August 2019, HCCP, no experience, inside Canada.

Oh wow, this is it, the exact time of pandemic where they drop the ball and just stop on theit track. You should be the leader of the pack here, if your app moves, then that's the only time we will see REAL progress here. Goodluck, I feel you will hear the good news anytime in the next few weeks, that's for sure!

Hi All,

I have been a silent reader here, following are my time line:

Application: September 2019
Applying From: Outside Canada
AOR Date Received: None
Eligibility Letter: March 2020
Biometric Request: March 2020
Medical Request: March 2020
Medical Result: June 2020 (Passed)

After the above there's no other update, I've been sending lot's of follow up via webform and yesterday this is what they told me:

We're currently prioritizing applications from:
  • Asylum claimants, and
  • Clients who are eligible to work while we process their application: to change jobs or employers, to restore their employer-specific work permit or for a work permit as a visitor.
With the above statement I don't think we will see some result this year.

Exactly the same timeline and letters for me. I called them last week and the only update for me is that they extended my medical.

That's ridiculous, asylums or inside apps will never end lol. They pretty much slammed the door on us starting March 2020. I am still hoping they will follow their own temp public policy announcements to move these pilot program.

Here's why, Mendicino is in pressure to please the caregiving community, if he cant do what he says, even the simplest task of moving a medical result to WP, then he has no political career in the future. Lots of excuses, no resulr. This hccp/hsw will be in the media again after June if he did not delivered on his promises. No face to show, not good for him. This is not about helping Canadian families blah blah blah. Who will wait 2 yrs for a caregiver? Complete Failure is what I see if the next 2 months has Zero stage 1.

let's keep the info flowing so we can at least take a peak into our everchanging furtune.

cheers

extended meaning you dont need another medical since its been more than a year since the result? I wonder how long is the "extension" if you dont mind sharing. If its extended by 6 months, then perhaps stage 1 will be out for you before the extension expires. CPC Edmonton processes caregiver PRs, they are notoriously slow.

I've posted a few times before, but just reposting my timeline for anyone new.

Home Child Care Provider Pilot Timeline(Applied Outside Canada):

Application received: Sept 20th 2019
AOR: Oct 29th 2019
NOA Request: Feb 3rd 2020
Biometrics Request: Feb 28th 2020
Medical Request: Feb 28th 2020
Biometrics Completed: March 11th 2020
Multiple Covid Delays: March - Aug 2020
Medical Completed: August 20th 2020
Medical Passed(GCKey) : August 31st 2020

I was told by an agent that I passed Eligibility in Feb 28 2020 and I should have already received my work permit after finishing my medical. However it still shows "reviewing eligibility" on GcKey The agent and an application specialist contacted the officer in Edmonton CPC 30 days ago and no response.

When my employer and I called back for an update after 30 days, they said they'll send another request and most officers reply after 2nd request. The agent when we called back also said they can change eligibility from passed to reviewing at any time. According to the agent, officers review the application however they wish

Hope we all get some good news soon. It's really frustrating to be done all part of the application on my end, since August 31, 2020 and the only remaining components is the release of the work permit and its all on the officer.

You’re right, it means that I don’t need to do another one for now, but The agent didn’t mention for how long.
People have started getting update requests from CIC even the ones without medical requests and eligibility letters but nothing for me so far. I’ve started to get a bit worried.
It doesn’t matter if the application is from inside or outside I guess. I’m inside applicant and I had to extend my study permit because of the delay.

If I were you, in the next 2 months, call them every day or as often as you can if you have time. Sitting on your application for that long is not fair and is not very Canadian. Write, call, email, or send webform whatever means necessary to let more people know about your situation. You have every right to check on them if they are messing up with people's lives.

I heard horror stories of other programs, where the app was simply "forgotten" buried in the pile of papers. So go get them and let them know you and your employer deserve better from IRCC, they are public servant, so shall be accountable for not doing their job. Let us know how it goes, Goodluck

Hi just want share my knowledge as per conversation with IRCC representatives over the phone about couple of days ago. It seems like lot's of people have miscommunication about new special message from IRCC that all 2020 applicants will get the PR. Well answer to that question is "No". "Public Policy has clearly stated that caregivers who applied under the HCCP Class or the HSW Class in 2020, but whose application was not entered into processing due to delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic are going to be considered who meet the eligibility criteria and conditions listed below.

What this statement means? Well let's take an example around sometime in Nov 2020 (for e.g Nov 13, 2020) when IRCC announced that Home Childcare Provider Pilot has closed for new applications for 2020. Well at that point suppose they've counted the actual count of 2750 and after Nov 13, 2020 stopped receiving the caregiver applications and didn't inform anyone whose application was received after the 2750th count and year 2021 started and those applicants has still not been informed and found that 2021 quota has also reached and missed the opportunity to apply in 2021 as well. It only of those candidates IRCC has made this special announcement that those applications will be counted even they've reached the quota for 2020.

It doesn't mean what all three stream of 2020 will directly get the PR. Well those applicants who have applied under PR stream if they meet the eligibility criteria they'll get the PR, rest will get the work permit and will have to complete their 2 years experience to meet the eligibility criteria.

I hope it makes sense. Chao!

Hello!

I'm a HCCP 2019 Applicant and just want to share my timeline as well.

btw I applied inside Canada and under 24 months of experience or more

2019
Dec. 9 - application sent
Dec. 10 - application received CPC Edmonton

2020
Mar. 6 - AOR and BIL received
*and then the whole world shut down...*
Oct. 20 - Service Canada contacted me to schedule my Biometrics collection
NOTE: I missed 2 calls from them. That time when they released that notice that Biometrics collection resumed, they actually did call right away to schedule me - but then I wasn't able to answer them because they are registered as 'Unknown Caller'. also no voicemail left for me too when I missed those calls. So it did kinda delay me a month when it comes to that.
Oct. 21 - biometrics done (checked my gckey and profile is updated)
***NO FURTHER UPDATES***

I contacted them so many times regarding my BOWP as well cuz I applied for one too. the last time that I talked to an agent (months ago), he said that it's just waiting for the hold on my PR application (he's referring to eligibilty). And then I tried to ff up again via webform but no response. I have to change employer soon and I tried to email them about that too but with no luck, no response. They said at the end of the webform (when you finally submitted it) that they will not reply to your enquiry if you're in normal processing time. So, I'm hoping that's what's going on there. Still keeping my hopes up. I feel for everyone of us here, frustrated and tired of waiting. Hopeful that we could find comfort from each other through updates. So, hang on there everybody, all is well that ends well!

There is a twitter campaign going on, I will advise all the applicants on this forum to also be part of it by sending tweets to @marcomendicino and @IRCC to remind them of #caregiverspilotprogram. Currently, there is discrimination between inland and outland applicants as most people in canada are getting updates while 2019 outland applicants are not.
