Hello everyone!

Will it matter if the whole family of the employer live in the house where the caregiver will work and live, too? I am currently filling out the offer of employment form. There are questions there about the house and accomodation. I live with my whole family. I am the employer.

Coz I remember 1 friend of mine, the caregiver was denied because the employee has her family living with her. the immigration wondered why hire caregiver oitside Canada when the whole family is there to help.

My family are all adults and are all working, in short, busy.

Do you know if this will be a ground for denial?

Thank you!!

A good day to everyone.

Anybody here who knows about Caregiver agencies here in Toronto? My sister is a RN in the Philippines and we are looking for a prospective employer.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did any of you apply without any experience nor caregiver certificate? I want to hire my sister to take care of my daughter but she doesn't have any child care experience at all. The only experience she had was taking care of her own kids.

I was looking at this - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-0104-home-care-support/tr-overseas.html and it said

Note: For the Home Child Care Provider Pilot you must have provided in-home care to children under the age of 18 in an occupation listed under NOC 4411, other than a foster parent.

So, I'm not sure if related experience is really required or not. Anyone who could enlighten me? Appreciate everyone's input.

Hi,

Experience is not mandatory. The requirement is "Ability to perform responsibilities". Which means, either you need to have experience or any related certification. Has she done any Diploma in Child Care ? If yes, she can apply for it. The decision, however, would depend upon Visa officer, but this is good enough to apply.

Yes interview is there
Hi Dear,

Can you please elaborate on how do they conduct interviews? Is this a sudden one or they inform you in advance on email for the interview date? Also, who is interviewed, Caregiver or the employer or both? Request if you can share some light on this.

Good evening, My relative is in India and she did grade 12 and diploma in computer applications ( 1 year). Is she qualified to apply for the Home Child care provider pilot ?
Please, help out.
If her diploma is evaluated as 1-year post-secondary education, then yes. Did she get ECA done for this? Get that WES certified and then you can decide.

My cousin has started home caregiver support programme by St John ambulance and will complete shortly. Plz anybody tell, 2 years post secondary study, and first aid, cpr certificate and home support course by St John ambulance will complete the requirements of ability to work for home support worker application.
Is her 2 years post-secondary education certified as 2 years diploma ( post-secondary) by WES ? If yes, then Yes....... She qualifies.

Please I have a question, I have evaluated my certificates with ICES and they gave me two or more certificates, I studied Banking and Finance, I also have CPR/First Aid certificate and I have two years work experience as a Nanny. My question is, am eligible to apply for the Caregiver program?
