My uncle and aunt both are doing job and they need a person who help them to manage household activities. My aunt has a backbone issue aswell so she need a companion

Home support workers provide personal care and companionship for seniors, persons with disabilities and convalescent clients. Care is provided within the client's residence, in which the home support worker may also reside. They are employed by home care and support agencies, private households, or they may be self-employed. Housekeepers perform housekeeping and other home management duties in private households and other non-institutional, residential settings.

If your wife has ECA and english exam, and education/experience relevant to what she's gonna be doing in Canada, she could possibly apply

Yes she has ECA and ielts aswell and she has an experience in home support working. But my uncle and aunt doesn't need any special medical needs or any disablity. They only need a a companion who take care of thier house activities

Yes, that may be the challenge. Not sure if they can be the employers..

And its for my cousin. She has completed 2 years post secondary course in canada. And has first aid, CPR certificate. She is in canada on study permit. She got job offer of home support but still confused to apply. Because she is not having home support special course.

My cousin has started home caregiver support programme by St John ambulance and will complete shortly. Plz anybody tell, 2 years post secondary study, and first aid, cpr certificate and home support course by St John ambulance will complete the requirements of ability to work for home support worker application.

There's no deadline. There's a yearly cap of 2750 applications for the home support worker

I am from the Philippines. I took up a 6 month caregiver course and have a certificate. The requirement for taking a caregiver course here is just a post secondary course. In the new Home Child-Care Provider and Home Support Worker, it requires 1 year post secondary. Do you think I would qualify when my sister hire me ?

But be sure there's a genuine need for your sister to hire you. They might think you're being 'hired' by your sister just to get you to come here...

Good evening, My relative is in India and she did grade 12 and diploma in computer applications ( 1 year). Is she qualified to apply for the Home Child care provider pilot ?
