Hello everyone,
I am from Nigeria and I intend to apply for the care giver program come January 2024, below are the document i have in place.
International passport.
Police clearance report.
ILIET
ECA
First aid and CPR training
Passport photos
Reference letter
My question is how do I get the form and barcode and also I learnt that one need a job offer to apply as an international applicant. Pls I’d like someone to help on how I can secure a job offer.

Do a job search on Canadian job sites or caregiver agencies, and find a family needing a caregiver who is willing to give you a job offer. For childcare, you will not get in tIme for January. It opens and closes on January 1.
Hi, congratulations!! I assume that is the next update after medical request?
When did you apply? Did you apply as a gaining experience or direct PR category ? From you other replies, I understand you applied from inside Canada.
My Sister in law applied on January 1, 2023 as experience gaining category from outside Canada. No updates since they submitted their medicals. I am the employer. I know processing time is 3 years. But since they got medical request early I was hoping they would get passport request soon. But no updates yet. So I was scanning through the forum to see if anyone got any updates after medical to see the trends and when to expect their arrival. Your post gave me some hope!
For the applicants from outside Canada, what is the next step after you submit your medicals? I was thinking it would be receiving passport request for work visa. I was just going through ‘after you apply’ section of the application guide, it doesn’t say anything about Passport request. It says this!

If after medicals you don't get ADR, then you will get Eligibility letter, followed by Passport request
Thanks for your response. What does ADR means? Is it additional document request? Could they ask for additional documentation even after medicals? I thought receiving medical request means they already reviewed the application, like they are okay with all the documents submitted and the application will (surely) be approved if applicants pass medical examinations. Is it not the case? I immigrated 9 years ago through federal skilled workers program. I had received passport request within 1-2 months of submitting the medicals. Maybe I had that understanding because of my (good) previous experience.
Hello, for dependent children (age 6 years). Should I fill a TRV application or study permit.
If I am to fill study permit it is saying I also need to fill custodianship guardian declaration form for minors. I am assuming this is not required as it seems it is for minor who are study without parents and require a guardian in Canada.
Please advise

After medicals is passed, some background check starts, so you see on your GC key says background check in progress.
Background check takes a while for some applications
I am not too sure, so I say the minimum wage is between 15 and 16.
If you had asked earlier, i would have told you to go for 16.
Now all you have to do is wait and see what happens.

Hello guys I applied Jan 1 to HCCP gaining experience. In my case my daughter is in Canada with close work permit since July 2023.

You may want ask under the 2021 and 2022 because those are the people who have gotten work permit approval. It takes about 35 months to get work permit approval.
Pls we received medical to be done in 30 days which expires Jan 6. but only able to get appt Jan 5th. should we contact ircc in anticipation of delay?
Yes.
I believe you should have contacted them earlier before now when you got the alot.
So pls contact them asap
