Just wondering if anyone else did not receive a sponsorship approval letter before their PR app was sent to outland office ? Mine was sent to Mississauga and is now sitting in Sydney but sponsorship approval letter was not received.
I am in a similar situation (outland but via London), E-CAS states a decision was made on 28th August and a letter sent out same day, but, not had a letter yet. However, looking at other parts of the process that people post about, there does seem to be differences between postal notifications/requests and what E-CAS lists the current status as.

hello, do they mention on-line that they sent you a letter? Mississauga usually sends letters of sponsorship approval. Maybe they sent to not correct address?
No it was not stated online that letter was sent . I did however receive a letter giving me a file number and received an e-mail telling me my file number aswell. I just thought it was odd not to receive sponsorship approval letter as it seems most other people get them. And it is in E-cas saying in process. Its just frustrating I guess the whole waiting portion.
What did the letter with the file number say? Are you sure that wasn't your sponsorship approval letter? I remember you saying in another post that you did get sponsorship approval. They wouldn't forward your application to Sydney until sponsorship was approved.
Mmmm, the plot thickens, mine like uncychopper's has just switched to In Process at London. But my wife never got a letter saying the Sponsorship was approved, or a letter that they had received the application in Mississauga for that matter. Also it says they have received my medicals (I would hope so as they were done at the begining of July).
You know, I've been hearing that a lot lately about sponsorship approval letters not being sent. Weird. But if it shows in ECAS that sponsorship has been approved then it's approved. However, why don't you give CIC-M a call and find out what's up?
Is the sponsor in the UK? If so, the letter may be caught up in the postal mess - loads of items are just sitting around bacause of the strikes. If CPC-M have dealt with it, they may be able to tell the sponsor if she calls them?
Good luck with London; I'll be keeping an eye on your status as we're a few days behind you.
My wife (sponsor) is in Canada, and they have the correct address for her, well, it's listed correctly on E-CAS anyway.
Seeing as the application is now proceeding in London, and E-CAS is updated to reflect that, I don't think I am that bothered by the 'disappeared' sponsor approval letter. It was more of a bother during the 3+ weeks that E-CAS just showed 'decision made' with no indication of what the decision was and no letter to tell you.
