but as per bank rules they never transfer money to student's personal account???

show the bank the vfs checklist and explain them the concept of GIC, they will transfer it then. make sure they transfer it to your account and not the joint account of yours with the sponsor.
apply for gic if u havnt till now as its processing time has increased a bit..

A Guaranteed Investment Certificate or GIC is a Canadian investment that offers a guaranteed rate of return over a fixed period of time, most commonly issued by trust companies or banks.

GIC is needed for SPP category for Indian students. But general category can also do so but it is not a must for them.
