Help with first passport application

I need some help filling in my passport application.

For question 7A, I moved into my current address a few months ago. Do I need to enter that address as well? If yes, what should I enter for the "to" date?

For question 7B, for my current place of employment, can I leave the "Date (to)" empty?

For Q #7A, Yes you need to write your current address and write PRESENT in the TO section.
For Q #7B, you can write PRESENT in the TO section.

If you're still conflicted, you can simply go to your nearest Passport office and double-check with them!

My oath is on Tuesday December 18th. I have a flight on Tuesday night, December 24th. If I go to apply for my passport right after the ceremony; hopefully ECAS shows complete, can I fill in some of the details by hand or does it have to be typed in? I know that the guarantor's details have to be written in by that person.

Yes you can type it in by hand. I have seen people filling their entire applications by hand in the Passport Office before they submitted their passport applications.

I doubt if you can apply right after the ceremony, I believe you might have to wait till Dec19th morning..depending on when is your oath on 18th.
If you fill up it in computer and press complete form, the qr code generated will have all the information. Once the officer scans the application, all the info will be loaded. If not he will have to type it manually.
In any case you should be able to get the passport by 21st.
