Time line:

Rome VO received our file on March 4, 2013

Started processing our Application on July 8, 2013

Passport requested on November 28, 2013

Wow it is so encouraging to see that Rome seems to have their act together! I got my Nulla Osta in good time, I got my visitor visa (REFUSAL) on time and now once I get ALL my documents translated and ready to go, it seems as though I may get my husband here in less than a year.

I really hope things go well for all of you as it is encouraging me as I hope to send my application in in Jan or Feb 2014!

Rome has showed on CIC Website processing times of 13 months. But in reality, the few people I know who are dealing with Rome Visa office were processed in less than the actual processing time (7-10 months)..!!

Hello William,

Nothing has changed for us. We haven't got an email and our Ecas status still says application recieved July 30,2012, medical results recieved and interview scheduled for nov 21,2013 (wrong date btw) was the 22nd! Nothing added since the interview.

I did however check with my MP, (only because I know him). He told me there is a bring forward date of feb 6,2014. I really hope they wouldn't put it in the shelf for 2 months if they plan to reject it. I'm hoping there waiting for his security clearance or something. And I'm hoping it comes before that date!! Wishful thinking

I think after the interview the Visa office will take some time to conclude with your husband's application. Hope to hear good news from you guys soon.!!

With regards to my Visa, I hope to receive it soon in the mail I think they are doing the final review on my application... The good thing is that I don't have to worry to do my medical exam again, I was supposed to redo it in January, 2014.

Thank you for your encouragement William. My biggest mistake was learning Italian because now I have to translate absolutely EVERYTHING!!! So costly! But yes, 7-10 months is VERY encouraging! I am going to see my husband for Christmas this year. My first Natale in Italy! I leave in 3 days!

Will be back on here as I get all my documents together and confirm with you all prior to sending.

Thanks for your wishes. We are moving to Kitchener, very close to Toronto. Our plans are to leave mid January.
