HELP - University admissions - Transcripts or just Marksheets?

I understand i need to send marksheets/transcripts in sealed envelope of univs, but I haven't ordered transcripts from my own college yet, can I send marksheets NOTARISED in sealed envelopes stamped on the outside by my university of Mumbai?

Or do univs really require transcripts from college?
I wonder because marshiest are supposed to be from university...and transcripts, from just regular colleges--is it okay if I just send marshiest instead of transcripts?

From what i know transcript is a separate document, containing information about class average scores, course contents, it is not just a marksheet. Universities need a sealed transcript copy to be sure about its authenticity. You should request a transcript ASAP
