Hi Everyone,
I am in a dilemma right now. I recently submitted my PR application (CEC INLAND) December 29, 2016 with my spouse as the accompanying dependent My spouse applied for visiting visa in 2015 and he was approved. He travelled to Canada Dec 2015 and left Jan 2016. In July 2016, he got a call from the consulate office in Nigeria , requesting that he should submit his passport for stamping. Of course, that was a strange considering the fact that he already has a visa and had even visited Canada. He explained to the Customer service rep and things were sorted out. He came to Canada again Oct 2016 and left in Nov. Now this is the confusing part.... He was on his way to Canada yesterday only for him to get to New York and he was told his visa has been cancelled. The consulate office in new york confirmed this to him..He is struck in New York, trying to rebook his ticket back to Nigeria. My question is:
1. Do i need to send a LOE to CIC explaining the situation considering that when i was filling his statutory questions, I answered 'NO" to not been refused visa?
2. Second, would this affect our PR application in any way? At the moment, there has not been any update on our file. Not even medicals have passed.
I look forward to your suggestions and views. Thank you.
