Hello All,

Just joined the forum. A lot of information available but confused about where to start from and which path to take. I am interested in immigrating to Canada.
Please advise what path should I take as I understand there are multiple possible routes.
Also from which authority I can have the assessment of my education and experience?
Looking forward to your help.

Some of the details below which would help you in answering my queries.
Myself
IELTS: L-R-W-S = 8.5-9-7-7
Degree: Bachelors 4 years in Computer Engineering.
Work Experience: Total 15 years. Last 10 years as Manager Operations Systems for an airline.
Suitable NOC (I think so) 0213 Computer and information systems managers.
States of Interest: British Columbia/Ontario

Spouse (not sure if this is important)
IELTS: L-R-W-S = 8-6.5-6.5-8
Degree: Bachelors 3 years in Interior Designing.
Work Experience: 0.

Calculate your CRS score. You want over 468+ to be considered. Have your degrees been evaluated? If not, do that. Are you over 30, if so you loose points on each birthday. If you want your spouse to accompany you, then she includes her IELTS and ECA for education too.

FYI - Canada doesn’t have states but provinces.

Your path is Express Entry - Federal Skilled Worker. Once you know your points and if below cut-off, then look at PNP programs for Ontario. BC you need a job offer.

Thank you so much for your quick response.
CRS Score comes out to be 393. Which seems not as per the requirement as you mentioned above.
Degrees are not yet evaluated. Do I need evaluation only for degrees or for past work experience as well?
It seems there are 4-5 different authorities who provide these evaluation services. Can I select anyone of them or there are conditions involved?

You can’t submit a profile without ECAs for your degrees. You can choose which one. WES is the fastest and some take 30+ weeks to process. Your score is too low for a nomination through Express Entry. You can look at provincial nomination programs.

Canadian government is focused now only on people who are already in Canada with their work permits or PGWP's, FSW streams are currently not processed because these people are outside of Canada. Nobody knows when FSW would get resumed.
