Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,
My initial application (under the pre June 26th rules) was received at CIO, NS on June 16th. It was for NOC 0213, which is now off the list.

I just realized that we should have probably included an additional (one for me is included) form 'Additional Family Info' form for my wife. Is this correct ?

From all your collective experience, has a package been ever rejected for this ?

Its only 10 days since they received it, is there a way we can send in the additional form without the package getting rejected (fax or mail or anything) ?

Deeply Distressed,
james

They check the, NOC, job duties and collect fee, your mistake will not effect your application, you can send correct info to local visa office

Are you sure? If CIO returns applications due to a missin N/A in a tiny box, of course they will return an application for a missing form.

Try again!!!

With a missing form, you'll be sure to get your application returned in a couple month's time from CIO. The guys there are very demanding.

Is there some way to send in the additional form ? They probably haven't even opened the cover :(

James,

Even if you do send the additional doc by whatever means there is no way for CIO officers to match your 2 different submissions because up till this point you don't even have a file nos. All forms must be in the same package.

Is this actually a missing document ? Am still confused. The other background declaration form clearly mentions that it should be filled by everyone separately.

This one (additional family info) says everyone should fill it (but not as separate forms).

Why can't you submit the additional family information with a small message explaining to CIC what happen? Sometimes you have to take matter on your own hands and just do what you think it is the best for your family. Send it in and I am sure that if your file gets rejected is not going to be because you submitted missing information.
Be brave instead of wasting your precious time.

Thanks beauhoe! Will send it in by the fastest means possible (I am a 1000 mi south of NS).

AYEBA... wow! Thanks for those 'kind' words. Its only an application. if I get it I get it, else I don't. The world doesn't end if it gets rejected.

Now more than ever, they will be looking for any mistake in order to reject applications not fulfilling all requirements. No chances for errors now with these CAPS, they will not waste time on any application which is lacking. Everyone should check and recheck applicatiuons before sending to CIO, it could mean the difference between making the quota or not. No time for second guesses. It must be right the first time. I think your application wil most likely be rejected. It is not a small mistake, they reject applications for much less. Better start preparing the next one with full documents. We all need a reality check with new rules. We have to adjust and make 100% sure the application to CIO is mistake free.

Please do not listen to negative comments... Be positive and wait for the miracle to happen. I have been there and I believe that anything is possible.

Maybe or maybe not, to make errors is human. CIO is not looking for our mistakes but how honest we are.

Just wanted to add an update, so that others can benefit.

I did end up sending the missing document (with a covering letter), and my application did get accepted at the CIO (leave it to them to figure out how they match documents etc) . So if people do make genuine errors and try and correct them, Canada does understand.

So people having the same dilema and seeing this, please go ahead and take these corrective steps (and please ignore the trolls above like AYEBA who try to discourage you )

Cheers
:)
