Hi,
I do live with my boyfriend over a year together. We will go with CommonLaw Sponsorship.
But he paid the most with his bankcard ... I gave him cash like 800-1000 Dollar cash per month!
But how can I proof that I paid as well?
We don't have joint bank account yet? I never thought about. He paid rent and utilities.
Proof of shared management of household expenses? how? We don't have insurance together ...
but we did Tax back together?!

but I need:
•statements for shared bank accounts,
•shared credit cards,
•proof of shared ownership of residential property,
•shared residential leases,
•shared rental receipts,
•bills for shared utilities accounts, such as ◦electricity,
◦gas or
◦telephone,
•proof of shared management of household expenses,
•evidence of shared purchases (especially of household items),
•mail addressed to either or both of you at the same address,
•important documents for both of you showing the same address, such as ◦identification documents,
◦driver’s licences and
◦insurance policies and
•any other documents that show you have been living together.

How can I proof it? Need some help!
thanks!
:( :)

Maybe someone with more knowledge than myself will help, but you must have a bank account of your own? Perhaps you can get bank statements and highlight major withdrawals from you bank account and match them up with bills paid, rental agreements, major household purchases, etc.

If say for example your rent is $800 per month, show them a bank statement that shows $800 withdrawn on the first of the month. Do this for several expenses over a 12 month period.

It's just an idea, I may be wrong, let's see if someone has something else to contribute, at least your thread get's bumped back to the top.

It will be difficult to prove that you have lived together for 12 months. I had way more supporting documents than you have but the embassy still asked for more.

That you filed taxes together as common-law is perfect. That's an important document.

- Do you have a joint rental agreement? If not, talk to your landlord and ask him if he would write a supporting letter, confirming that you two lived together in this place as a common-law couple. This letter must be notarized.
- Get a joint bank account now. It's a little late but better than never. Add bank statements from the last 12 months of your individual bank accounts and highlight and describe the most important withdrawals. Explain them the situation in a separate letter how you shared expenses although you had individual accounts.
- Get a joint life insurance.
- Try to get your name on the utility accounts. It might not be possible but at least give it a try.
- Collect every single piece of mail you two received at the same address, copy your driver's licences, everything that shows that you lived there together for at least 12 months.
- If your partner has a medical plan get your name on it as a dependent.
- Get at least 2 statutory declarations from friends and family, confirming you have a genuine common-law relationship (not boyfriend and girlfriend) and you have lived together since xx, 2013.

And remember to choose VO Ottawa instead of Vienna. The processing time is way faster. If you have lived in Canada legally for 12 months you are allowed to choose VO Ottawa. If CIC thinks your application should go to Vienna, they will transfer it there but try to get it to Ottawa. Your application might need third of the time than it would in Vienna.

thanks!

little Apple:
I read that I only can apply over Ottawa if I have a work or study visa now. I with a tourist visa in Canada right now. But I had a work visa for one year (expired may).
Yes I do have a joint rental agreement! :) one thing!
I got the cash from my bank in Germany!

thanks again! :)

But I made for every month like a list ... what money we spend (with all receipts and so)... who paid what and I gave than him cash ... so that everybody paid the same.
WOULD THIS HELP?

Joint rental agreement is great :)

And the list for the shared expenses should help for sure.

Now get the statutory declarations from friends and family + supporting documents and pictures for your relationship and you should be fine :)

Try Ottawa. Once you had a valid work permit for at least 12 months they should accept your app there.

Good luck and if you have more questions let me know
