Hi
I have a known friend in India. He got married five years ago with Canadian citizen.
His wife applied for his sponsorship but got rejected. Now five years have past but nothing worked out.
They want to walk out of this relationship as things are not working between them.
They want to get divorced but don't know the procedure like how to file divorce??
If you have any information regarding to this, please help.

Wait, his wife got denied for a Spousal Sponsorship? What was the reasoning? I ask because there is no financial requirements for a Spousal Sponsorship. So as long as she wasn't on welfare or wasn't a fugitive, I think she should have been fine.

I suspect that the meaning has got lost in the translation. Maybe the applicant was refused?

It is the applicant who got rejected.

Now there's something new, (and interesting). The only applicant rejection I recall seeing here, was one where the spouse was 'excluded from Family Class sponsorship'. CIC nipped in the bud right then and there with the application to sponsor.
